Tourism Ministry Hold Diving Tourism Exhibition In Tokyo, Japan

Indonesia is rich in natural tourist destinations. Next week, the Ministry of Tourism will hold a diving sales mission in Tokyo, Japan. Hopefully, this agenda will attract tourists from Japan. This activity is a continuation of the agenda were held earlier in Beijing, China, 9 September 2015 ago.

Sales mission is an activity with a concept that brings meeting table of top seller (the Indonesian tourism industry) with the buyer (the Japanese tourism industry). The goal is to make interaction which is expected to create business transaction. Thus, there will be more submarines travel packages purchased by the Japanese people. "This kind selling is one way from Tourism Ministry to realize the target of 529.000 tourists visit from Sakura country (Japan)." said the Marketing Deputy of Abroad Tourism Development, I Gde Pitana in the release of the ministry to detikTravel, last Saturday (10/03/2015).

Indonesian coastline that nearly 100.000 kilometers is one of the longest in the world. Plus its endless diving tourist attraction, it is believed marine tourism can contribute to foreign exchange 4 times more than the current number. This sales mission is one of the main strategies of Indonesian tourism marketing: Branding, Advertising, and Selling (BAS), announced Minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya. "The target is supported visa-free facility for foreign tourists from Japan, which are stipulated in Presidential Decree No. 69 of 2015. The Tourism ministry targeting 10 million tourists arrivals by 2015," said I Gde Pitana.

Indonesia has great potential for diving tourism. Diving point spread from Weh Island in the west end to Raja Ampat in the eastern end. In between, there is also the Banda Islands, Bunaken, Wakatobi, Lembeh Strait, Alor Island, Togean, Gili Air, Komodo Island, and Cendrawasih Bay that offers underwater beauty. There will be seven-seller who participated in Tokyo later. According to the Japanese tourism travel company site, TravelCo, Bali tourist destinations in the list of 10 options the Japanese population. Indonesia ranks fifth, below Seoul (Korea), Guam, Taipei (Taiwan), and Honolulu (Hawaii). Indonesia is the highest position in the Southeast Asian region, ahead of Cebu Island (Philippines), Bangkok (Thailand), and Singapore.

"Indonesia has a diving spot which is a paradise for divers. Even the world recognizes Indonesia has some of the world's finest, among others, Raja Ampat, Komodo Island, Derawan, Togean, Wakatobi, Gili Air, and Bunaken," said Assistant Deputy Development Asia Pacific Market , Vincent Jemadu.

The event of sales mission will hold in 8 to 9 October 2015.

Enriching Japanese Language Knowledge through Kanji Contest



Jakarta - Japanese language skills and knowledge can be made through the proficiency gained control of the Kanji letters. One opportunity to test in this case, within the a Kanji contest. Likewise conducted hundreds of high school students and students of various universities from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi and Banten who participated in a Kanji contest some time ago. This contest was held by Universitas Nasional (Unas).

"This year there were 443 contestant who participated in the Kanji contest. This amount increases compared last year who just managed to crawl 300 participants. Not only that, this year the range cover is also widespread, not only Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Depok & Bekasi but also Banten," said the Chairman of Pusat Pengkajian Jepang (PPJ) Unas, Meizar Abdullah.

The contest is divided into two category i.e. for categories of students and public, and other categories of school. According to Meizar, there is an increasing number of university which participate in these activities. This time, the Kanji contest followed by 12 universities, among others from the Universitas Indonesia, UHAMKA, STBA LIA, Al Azhar, Darmapersada, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, dan STBA Cipto Hadipranoto.

For the school, as many as 34 schools sent representatives to compete. Among other participants came from SMAN 33 Cengkareng, SMA 1 Dramaga Bogor, SMAN 11 Tanggerang, SMAN 1 Ciampea Bogor, SMA Plus PGRI Cibinong, SMK Borobudur 1 Cilandak, SMAN 13 Jakarta Utara, SMAN 33 Cengkareng and so on.

"Each school may send between 10-20 participants,"  he said.

This Kanji contest was the fourth time held by Unas with PT Mandom Indonesia support. Meizar said, this is a proof of great friendship between Indonesia and Japan. The President Director of PT Mandon Indonesia, Takeshi Hibi were also present in this event.
"I hope this activity can be a medium for sharing experience and the more you can draw closer to the culture and language of Japan," said Takeshi.

In categories of students and public come across as champion, Kinanti from Universitas Indonesia, the runner up was captured by Dwi Nur Febriana (UNAS), and Tuti from UNJ occupying the third place. While, for high schools and equivalent, as the champion is Fadhilan, ther runner up is Hardian Muhammad, and the third place was captured by Anisa Nur Adina. The winner is entitled with many stuff, from the electronic dictionary, notebook, ipod, and a shopping voucher of Gramedia Bookstore.
