Indie Experiences in Taco Local

Maybe for some teenagers in Jakarta, Mexican culinary like tacos  nachos, burritos or quesadillas are so familiar to their tongue. There is a restaurant around Panglima Polim, South Jakarta which you could try as favourite place to taste those foods. This place named Taco Local.

Taco Local established by Sebastian Subakti with Heru and Dito Kartowisastro on January 2012. It place offers relax sensation and indie experience that make the visitors will spend their lot of time. Not only that, the restaurant bring a concept of little shop which belonging original taste and also adjustment taste for Indonesian tongue.

Sebastian started this business three years ago when Mexican culinary was trending in the world. So that, he got the idea to open the restaurant. Moreover, Sebastian explained that the existing restaurants (Mexican food) are still serve American style.

He also confessed that another reason of this business because he well-experienced with Mexican culinary, he was worked as chef on a restaurant in Melbourne.

Taco Local has some favourite menu like Taco Al Pastor and Lengua, they usualy match with Coriander Margarita or Cocktail Sandria Fresca which indeed categorized as alchohol beverages. For you who want to the non-alchohol drinks, you can choose Saparella or varying fruit juices.

Taco Local formatted as a restaurant, but all the price of the servings are prefer to standard price or even cheap! Like tacos which ranged from Rp. 34.000,- to Rp. 50.000,- for a single size portion.

So, you don't need to worry to try these Sebastian's amazing Mexican cookings.

According to the manager of Taco Local; Anezka, for now Taco Local has another branch in Bali that launched four months after the place in Jakarta opened.

In a day, the taco sold about 75 to 100 portions. Anezka hoped Taco Local will be existing with all menu today. She also said that this year Taco Local will open in another place again.

Garuda Opens New Route In Aceh

Garuda Indonesia Airlines for one more time opens new route from international airport Kuala Namu of North Sumatera to several region and city in province Aceh on early February 2015.

General Manager of Garuda Indonesia Banda Aceh Nano Setiawan explained (December 30, 2014) that these new routes will be serviced for passenger from airport Cut Nyak Dhien (Nagan Raya) to Kuala Namu, Malik Saleh (Lhokseumawe) to Kuala Namu, Maimun Saleh (Sabang) to Kuala Namu.

He added that the flights that will operating on this February (2015) will use little aircraft like ATR 72-600 that can load until 70 seats.

"For each flight, we will serve four times a week and hoped to society of Aceh and its tourist will get the benefits from our corporation's transportation service." Nano said.

Special for the route Nagan Raya to Kuala Namu for round-trip Garuda will fly every monday, tuesday, thursday and saturday. Meanwhile, for Lhokseumawe to Kuala Namu will be operated in monday, wednesday, friday and sunday. And Sabang to Kuala Namu will be scheduled on wednesday, friday and sunday.

Garuda Indonesia comitted to actively roling in the effort of developing Sabang, moreover that Rubiah Island which is located in Sabang has been declared as one of marine tourism destination in Indonesia. Because it have beautiful sub-marine environment and nature to visit.

Nano hoped with these new routes from Garuda Indonesia (from and to Sabang) will accelerate the growth of tourism in Sabang which so far been well-known to foreign visitors.

In the other side, he also need supports from some parties, so that the new routes will run well. The amazing panorama of Sabang should supported by good quality in its transportation, especially on flight service.

Korean Halal Restaurant Guide Book Is Launched

Though experience increasing of moslem visitor to South Korea, the effort to find halal cookings in there is a distinct challange for moslem tourist.

It's a good news for them who will visit South Korea, because Korean Tourism Organization launched a guide book for halal cookings. This book helps moslem tourist to find halal food easingly.

The book entitled Muslim Friendly Restaurants in Korea just been available in english and covering 118 restaurants. These restaurants are split into five categories by their "hospitality" level to moslem visitors.

These 5 categories are :
1. Halal certified restaurant,
2. Restaurant which using halal ingredients but not certified yet,
3. Restaurant which serving halal food but also serving alchohol beverages,
4. Restaurant which opens for moslem or usually serves vegetarian food and
5. Free-pork restaurant.

Halal certified restaurant is a restaurant that have been fulfilled the halal criteria from Korea Muslim Federation (KMF), an Islamic organization which established in 1967. KMF give certification to restaurant that have been qualified some tight rules about halal food.

The book also contains highlight of some occupying moslem community in South Korea, include Oman Ambassador for South Korea, students and the other moslem ambassadors. It informingsome places which selling halal products too.

Moslem visitors from asia like Malaysia and Indonesia include into big ten foreign tourist which come to South Korea this year. The online version of this great book available in this January.
