Telkomsel Stop for While Fiber-Optic Project in Bireuen

Telkomsel pause the project of optical fiber in Jeumpa, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province,  After fire incindent of the project workers by unknown people on new year's Eve. General Manager Corporate Communication Telkomsel, Ricardo Indra said in the written statemant, Monday (2/1/2012) :

"The workers are belong to the company contracting project of fiber optic Telkomsel. To avoid undesirable things, Telkomsel pause temporarily the project work in the location,"

Temporary suspension of activities of this project was carried out until the security situation at the site back to being conducive. Telkomsel cooperate and hand over the investigation of the shooting incident entirely to the authorized officials. "Internally, Telkomsel have increased security procedures at the site of the project," he said.

He explained, fiber-optic project in Bireuen - Aceh is part of the telecommunications network development project that being done all over Indonesia. Also in Bireuen, similar projects are underway in Lhokseumawe and had previously been undertaken in the city of Banda Aceh. Fiber-optic project was carried out to meet the increasing needs of telecommunications in Aceh.

As for the incidents of firing workers in Bireuen on new year's Eve that killed several workers, some of the other workers were shot wounded.
