Meeting The Bali Starling in Bali Barat National Park





Rothschild’s Mynah, Bali Starling (Leucopsar rothschildi) or locally well-known as Jalak Bali is
a mascot and icon of Bali. You can meet this kind of bird while enjoying the exotic Bali forest in Taman Nasinal Bali Barat (Bali Barat National Park).


This national park is the other side of original Bali attraction. If you usually enjoying the beaches, you will find tropical forest in Bali Barat National Park. This park located in the northern of Bali, Jalan Raya Cekik, Gilimanuk, and only 3 hours from the capital Denpasar.

With 4 inner mountains, they are Prapat Agung mountain, Banyuwedang mountain, Klatakan and Sangiang mountain, making this national park become a comfortable home for various animals and plants. You will meet the Bali Starling which an original animal from Bali. Bali starling is an endemic animal which can only found in Bali and a kind of protected animal. With its typical crest, you will adoring this beautiful bird.


Some animals also can be found in this national park are 7 mammals, 2 species of reptils, 105 kind of bird and 120 kind of fishes. In addition to them, there are also protected animals like armadillo, deer, bull, coney and turtles.
