This is the first time of the event held. Though its still in a national level, Belitong Beach Festival & Expo considered can attracting the attention for both domestic and foreign tourists.
The event will be held within 18th to 20th May 2013, and will venued in Tanjungpandan, Belitung, province of Bangka Belitung.
"This event aimed for returning our ancestor's images as sailorman. Next we will keep searching for the potential matters of tourism in Belitung." said Sahani Saleh, the vice chief of Belitung district, while in the press conference of Belitong Beach Festival & Expo 2013 in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (02/10/2013).

Bangka Belitung's underwater beauty have been well known all around the world. Now, that potential wonder needs more extra support, so that it will be a main tourism destination in Belitung.
"That surely, everyone who visit here will being adored with rocky beach panorama, beautiful white sands and beautiful underwater attractions in Belitung." said Sahani.
The festival will fulfilled with various cultural attractions, exhibitions, music shows, culinary and many more. Even, Jember Fashion Carnaval will also enlive the beach party which will be held in the beach of Tanjung Pendam, Tanjung Kalayang and Tanjung Tinggi.
"The more fascinating, tourists who lively go to the venue, can also enjoy disco party and photo sessions along these three beaches. Of course with the cool models and costumes."
Belitong Beach Festival 2013 believed will increase tourist's visit, local revenue and it will voted as annual event of tourism.
