Waves in the Arafuru sea in south of Merauke, Papua Province, now gets stronger and higher. Wave height now reaches 6 feet, higher than last week's that in 5 feet tall.
George Mahubessy, head of Mopah Meteorological Station, Merauke, explained that the high tide of it due to induced by tail of seedling hurricane that appears in the Gulf of Carpentaria in Northern Australia. "In the middle of the sea wave height, however on the shores of Merauke weakened, only up in meters," said George, Friday (30/1/2012) in Merauke.
