Batik (Now) Influencing World's Fashion Style

Batik, has been recognising as worlg's heritage since 4 years ago, and now keep increasing. The world of fashion, even now often uses batik motives in their newest collection.

Moreover some world's celebrities rendering  batik as their fashion style. As been done by Paris Hilton in last early month, that she was seen passing by on the streets of New York, wearing a dress with a batik motif, a collection of mode house of Gucci.

Jesica Alba, Drew Barrymore, Rachel Bilson, Reese Witherspoon, Lenka, Bono, Adele, Bill Gates, Nelson Mandela and Nicole Richie now they are fans of Indonesia's batik, and designers of some mode house also making batik as one of their mainstay collections.

"Our batik now has well-known worldwide, even some world famous brands such as Gucci have made  batik as one of the motives for their latest collection," said one of fashion observer from Indonesia, Petty S. Fatimah, within the event Batik Our Love Story which held by Pusat Kebudayaan Amerika Serikat (Cultural Center of United State ), Pacific Place, Jakarta in last weekend.
