The Exhibition of Food, Hotel and Tourism Bali 2012 will be held

Exhibition of Food, Hotel and Tourism Bali 2012 will be held again on 1-3 March 2012 coming in Nusa Dua, Bali. This exhibition is claimed to be
the largest food and hotel exhibition which held in Bali.

"This exhibition is the eighth time in Bali. In odd-numbered years in Jakarta, even year in Bali. So this exhibition is in fact already 22 years old," said the Director of Sales and Marketing of PT Pamerindo Indonesia, Julias Astied, in a press conference of the exhibition Food, Hotel and Tourism Bali 2012, at Sapta Pesona building, Jakarta, Monday (27/2/2012).

It predicts about 7.500 professional visitors will attend in the exhibition. He explained the need to differentiate when organizing exhibitions in Jakarta and Bali. In Jakarta, the exhibition occupied a wider space with a lot more visitors.

"Why held in Bali? Because Bali as the entrance to the eastern part of Indonesia. The number of visitors is indeed more in Jakarta than in Bali. Last year ther's 6.145 buyers in Bali. But the participants saw the quality of buyers than the quantity. Because this is a trade show, business to business," she explained.

As many 498 companies from 33 countries, including United States national pavilion and Taiwan will participate in the exhibition. Astied revealed in the exhibition will followed by hospitality industry, restaurant and culinary.



He explained this time exhibition was housed in the new venues of Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre (BNDCC). During this time, he continued, th exhibitions usually held at the Hotel Westin Nusa Dua, but its place is less bulky.

"Even in the BNDCC just don't meet our needs, because it was already fully booked. Full right up to the edge. There is even a competition should be placed in the outdoors because it is not fit," she said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sapta Nirwandar said that these exhibitions is a good example of the relationship between creative industries and tourism. Because, one of the important component of the creative industries is food.

Just like in previous years, the exhibition will also take place Salon Culinaire competition which held by Bali Culinary Professionals (BCP), a member of the World Association of Chef Societies.

"In the Salon Culinaire, there are 250 cooks compete with international valuation standards. There are 14 international jury will judge," added Astied.
