Starred hotels even can find din the area Kartika Plaza Street, Legian and Raya Kuta. Villas which offers privacy for you, can be find in Seminyak like in Drupadi street. 

It's better if based on the recomendation from acquitance
who have ever stayed there before. Or maybe, if you just arrived and desperately find for a hotel in Bali, just ask to the taxi driver.

Should stay in Kuta ?

If you can't accept with a crowd and Kuta's frenetic, you can choose the other destinations in Bali. Try Sanur, Jimbaran or Nusa Dua which more calm. The places are so close one to another. It just the hotel in Nusa Dua categorized in expensive hotel, because it concepted in resort area. You can also choose to stay in Ubud which impressed so natural. But there is no beach in there. Ubud located in Gianyar district.

Gianyar have so many interesting spots, like zoo, safari park, cultural tourism, mountain until beach. The other choice is Lovina region in Singaraja, the prices in there are still cheap, both the hotel or the food. But the distance is pretty far, for about three hours by car.

In the east of Bali, the most dominant magnetism is Candidasa in Karangasem with its beach which still relatively not so crowded. So many cheap inn or expensive resort in there.

Meanwhile in west side, you can try to stay in Canggu area which famous as surfing spot or around Tanah Lot. If you a mountain and breezy air lover, Jatiluwih or around Batukaru mountain could be the options, these places are still calm.
