Various of traditional fabric from Lampung exhibited in the "Pameran Wastra Lampung: Warisan Budaya Melintas Zaman" (Lampung Wastra
Exhibition : Cross Cultural Heritage) in the Museum Tekstil (Museum of Textiles) Jakarta, Wednesday (7/3/2012).
Exhibition which held in co-operation of museum and the Himpunan Perajin Kain Tapis Lampung (Tapis Crafters Community of Lampung) and Lampung Sai to enhance public appreciation of Lampung traditional fabric.
The opening of the exhibition was also enlivened with a fashion show of a new combination of tapis lampung creations and ulam usus.
Tapis is a fabric which usually worn by women in Lampung that made by weaving with coloured lanes along the fabric. The exhibition will last until March 14, 2012.
