Tourism Of Ternate On Historical Relics

A number of historical relic assets in Ternate, North Maluku will become the mainstay of Ternate City Government, to support the event Sail Indonesia on
the island of Morotai in September 2012.

"Ternate have seven fortress of colonial heritage as historical symbol which will be a mainstay in attracting both domestic and foreign tourist in the event Sail Indonesia in Morotai island," said the Head of Public Relation and Protocol Ternate City Government, Tamrin Marsaoli, Wednesday (07/03/2012).

Moreover in 2012,  government city of Ternate become a religious city tours and tourism history by built various infrastructure, one of them is the great mosque Al-Munawwar, grandest in Malut which can hold thousands worshiper.

Ternate city government also currently going to build culinary center in front of ex-governor's office and build water boom in Kayu Merah as one of the largest recreational Malut.



Numerous attempts have been made, including the construction of museum Kedaton Kesultanan Ternate, empowerment of local languages as well as the revitalization some colonial fortress in Ternate, as Ford Oranye.

Tamrin said that Ternate city governmet cooperating wiht Ternate sultanate has journaling a number of cultural events, as Kora-kora (traditional boat) festival, Ela-ela festival and Legu Gam.        

Ternate City Government also continues to encourage the promotion of the tourism potential, either through the internet or by direct promotion to a number of tourist destination in Indonesia, as Bali and other cities in Indonesia.

Ternate city government renders the service sector as one of the sources of regional income, and one of the service sector which is reliable is tourism. The existence of a entrepreneurs who built four star hotel, also a number of the flight company which opened the flight route to and from Ternate, is expected to be increasingly supports the development of the tourism sector in this region.
