The Typical Delicious Coffee from Aceh

Coffee, maybe it have been a lifestyle for Aceh society. Not excactly in time, morning, afternoon, evening or even in the night, the coffee shop wheter it in the city or villages always crowded by visitors. What is the difference with the other kind of coffe?

Aceh is one of the biggest coffe producer in Indonesia. Land in Aceh produced for about 40% Arabica coffee seed in premium level from total of harvest in Indonesia. Indonesia also a biggest coffee exporter, forth in the world.


Lia, one of waitress in a coffe shop, Pulau Baru, located in Jalan Perdagangan, Sabang, Aceh revealed
that coffee from Aceh different with another region. Which distinguishes is the aroma, tastes and its blends. Even, the coffee already well-known in many countries because its characteristic.


"Coffee from Aceh is different, its aroma is suble but prominent than the other.
The choosen coffe is the coffee which grown naturally by the farmer. In general that coffee also processed din farming land. "Indeed, a little compliated to be explained, you have to try for your own," added her.

One thing that differ coffee from Aceh with another coffee from regions in Sumatra is its blends processes. For example Jambi coffee, usually milled with corn so that makes the coffe taste not feel fully. Meanwhile, coffee from Aceh milled until smooth without other additional ingredient. This recipe  that makes Aceh coffe has its own characteristics.




General coffee shop, offering prices based on suitable with the taste. A cup of pure Aceh coffee priced for Rp. 6.000. for coffee milk in big mug Rp. 10.000, and coffee milk in little cup for about Rp. 6.000.

Lia Added, there is a special coffee making recipe in her coffee shop. There is filtering with socks. Coffee powder put into the socks, then poured with boiled hot water into the glass. So, the served coffee have no waste. "For a big mug glass, 2,5 coffee spoon, for dispose the waste is filtered. For the sugar depend on individual tastes," add her.
