In addition to its wonderful natures, the magnetism for foreign tourist to come to Indonesia is the
wisdom of the local society. Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Mari Elka Pangestu tries hardly to keep it.
In her speech in Sarasehan Ekonomi Kreatif in Tobelo, North Halmahera, Friday (20/04/2012), the minister declare her admires of the indigenous peoples which have local wisdom and cultural heritage, which rich from all over region in Indonesia. She also said that it becomes its own magnetism to foreign tourist who come to visit Indonesia.
"Because what gonna be remember not only the beautiful nature or historical temples, but also the local society which friendly and have so many story about how can they are united and how they keep their nature and culture," said Pangestu to detiktrave, Sunday (22/04/2012).
Awaring that, the ministry stated their efforts to keep the local wisdom, art and culture tradition so that not dissapear or extinct gradually.
"Firstly, the cultural heritage have to be recorded and documented to prevent if some party tries to steal it," said Mari.
The second, the documenting could be the source of inspiration and base to develop the cultural heritage and traditional wisdom without relieve its origin so that it could have proper values. So the related society and community could be more prosperous and living happily.
