Pasar Ceplak, Culinary Tourism in Garut


Talk about culinary tourism in Garut, West Java, so Pasar Ceplak is a must if you visit this city. That culinary market just like a night market which will crowded if fall
night. The location excactly in Sililwangi street.

In the morning until noon, this street is an ordinary street which always passes by public vehicles. Then in the eveninng, the pushcarts and tent stalls start to fullfill in the sides of Siliwangi street. Only remained a little path in the middle for motorcycle's lane. Of course, cars cannot through here.

Actually, the street in Siliwangi is dark. But because its crowded by pushcart's lamps so that it becomes shines brightly. In Pasar Ceplak, various food like fried chicken, sate, gado-gado and snacks like banana molen, kue mayang and dumplings.



In the fried chicken stalls, there are petai (Parkia Speciosa) which dangling in a board, it becomes typical interest of the fried chicken stalls in Pasar Ceplak. These stalls actually, is usually found in big cities lik Jakarta. But its special looking, like petai's board is rarely found.


You can choose yellow seasoning chicken or soybean seasoning chicken. How to cook it? you can also choose it, frying or roasting.


Standard fresh vegetables to accompanying your chicken like basil, cucumber and salad surely available. More exciting if you add fried or roasted petai. Don't forget the green chilli sauce or red chilli sauce as the complement.


For the rice, the option is fallen to the nasi timbel. Ask the rice which covered with banana leaves, then roasted. The aroma will awake your hunger.
