Staying in homestay way is not an unfamiliar thing for you, especially for backpackers. While you
staying at resiten's house, you can also get acquainted with local cultures. These are 5 ethics in homestaying.

Besides cheaper, homestay can be a distinct amusement. You can meet with new peoples, visit the new tourism spots which are not well-known yet.


1. Recognize the local cultures

Every destinations which are visited have its own culture. Moreover if you homestaying, knowing the local culture is a must. Avoid culture clash which can make your homestaying place become uncomfortable.

Dont wearing skimpy clothes when you staying in a religious settlement. Though a little bit hard, to follow  local customs and cultures is an important thing that you have to do.


2. Keep friendly

Hiking or surfing all day long surely draining your energy. After one whole day, maybe you just want to take a rest without say hi to another. Remeber, you are staying together with others, stay friendly and make a good impression.

Shouting and laughing in the midnight surely disturb other peoples. Remembering each other when getting noisy is a right way to do. Try to maintain your polite, remember that you are not in your own house.


4. Be the part of the familiy

Homestaying, means you become a part of the family automatically. Remove the ignorant attitude, if you lazy to do that, force yourself to be more care about your new family. Help in the kitchen or get involved in cleaning up the house are the some activities which can you do. You more involved with the family activities, you will more closer with them.

It must be exciting to get a new warm and kind family. Your vacation will be more feel like 'not just a journey for a beautiful destination'. More than all of it, you meet a new family when vacation.


5. Give some gifts of souvenirs

Get some gifts or souvenirs from the visitting guest is a pleasure. Dont need in a big amount or expensive, but the most important you can give an useful thing. It can be fruit, staple food or bed sheets as gift.

If you dont have any gift, you can give some memorable things of yours. You can send your photographs with the family or just give the photographs if you have a Polaroid camera. These simple things maybe more valuable than money.
