Tours to Ubud is Expensive?

Tours to Ubud, Bali, so far identical to expensive. At the very least, the supposition that often sounded from the domestic tourists if heard Ubud as a
vacation destinations. Is it true?

"Indeed if you want to compare Kuta or Legian, Bali is a little more expensive. But the atmosphere is very different. Holidaymakers seeking tranquillity in Ubud," says Ketut Sumartono from Ubud Hotels Association (UHA), as found in Ubud, Gianyar, Thursday (1/3/2012).

However, he continued, if you want to compare Ubud with Nusa Dua resorts, Ubud accommodation is much cheaper. Ubud has a choice of accommodation ranging from hotels, resorts, villas to rent and homestay. Various of options that make Ubud can offer rates and budget  diverse accommodations.

"Hotels in Ubud are ranging from 500 thousand rupiahs. This is a 5-star  hotel. In Ubud, hotel rates are stable, not differ too far, because the competition is not as tightly as Kuta," said Ketut.



According to Ketut, domestic tourists have started choosing Ubud as destinations in Bali. Especially from Jakarta and Surabaya usually come to Bali and want to avoid the crowd.

"They came to Ubud to find serenity. We typically like being in a crowd. So that, if young peoples are now still rare going to Ubud. But for mature age and have an established economy, start picking Ubud. Also families whose have started to choose Ubud, "he explained.

While for the troupe, he confessed, Ubud is still somewhat difficult to receive large amount of tourists. Therefore, hotels in Ubud does not provide many rooms (over 100 rooms) per hotel. So, if there are a large number of groups wishing to stay in Ubud, they have to split up and distributed to some other hotel.

"This is not a means of accommodation in Ubud not enough. There so many rooms available in Ubud. But scattered in many hotels. Every hotel in Ubud have only a  little," said Ketut.
