Air Asia Open New Route For Bandung-Penang
Air Asia Indonesia airlines will open new route for new flights, they are international route Bandung - Penang (Malaysia) and a new domestic route
, Bandung-Pekanbaru.
"The potential tourism, generally in West Java are pretty, so that we open two new route Bandung-Penang and Bandung-Pekanbaru once in a day, the first flight planned in May 26, 2012." said the President of Air Asia Indonesia, Dharmadi in Bandung, today 26 April 2012. The passenger can easily reach the destination option, both for touring or business in the new two destinations.
Dharmadi explained, Penang is a modern city in Malaysia, which also still maintain some historical tourism spots like George Town, and Pekanbaru is included the best tourism destination in culinary and shopping.
The route of Bandung-Penang is the third international destination after Bandung-Kuala Lumpur become four times a day and Bandung-Singapore become twice a day. "Bandung is potential for Air Asia which facilitated from 2007. Its market keep increasing, both international and domestic, the majority for tourism and business." said Dharmadi.
With this additional flight frequences, the passenger of West Java, especially from Bandung will have more option for flight to Kuala Lumpur and other destinations in ASEAN, India, China, Korea and Australia if wants to doing some advanced flight. "For now, Bandung is a tourism destination for they are who living in Malaysia. Averagely, this route filling consistantly always reach more than 80%," add him.
Especially for flight to Bandung, in average from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore as much as 150 passengers, it means four airplanes from Malaysia and two from Singapore, so the sum of the passenger for about 900 passegers in a day. These are exclude the passenger from domestic flight such as Surabaya, Denpasar and Batam which its market also raising up.
