6 Jazz Festivals Will Be Held In 6 Regions in Indonesia

It could be said if jazz is a kind of music which united all people in the world. No wonder if this music genre
becoming a tourism magnetism, include in Indonesia. In this year, 6 jazz festivals will be held lively in 6 different regions.


Jazz indeed a kind of music which the most appreciated in festivals. In many countries, jazz festival are held in almost every city in Europe. In Indonesia, Java Jazz Festival is one example of the famous music festival with international and domestic audiences.


This is become an idea base of the implementation of jazz festival in some regions in Indonesia. This done surely to promote those regions to the world.


That was said by the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sapta Nirwandar in a discussion of tourism in Central Jakarta, Tuesday (15/05/2012).





"This year will be 6 jazz festivals in some regions in Indonesia," said Sapta.


The six festivals are Java Jazz Festival, Sabang Jazz Festival, Rotterdam Jazz Festival, Ambon Jazz Festival, Borobudur Jazz Festival and Bangka Jazz Festival.


"Bangka have been a prority in here, also Ambon and Rotterdam fortress which located in Ujung Pandang," added Sapta.

These music festivals hoped could be attract more both domestic and foreign tourists, with jazz as the unifier.

"The ministry will try consistantly to increase these events as international destination," encored Sapta.
