Potential Kampung Wisata (Tourism Village) in Yogyakarta need to be developed to provides an option for tourists. "The number of tourism village in the Yogaykarta is
currently continuing. With the growing number of tourism village, its expected to give many offers that appeal to the visiting tourists in the area," said the chairman of Yayasan Widya Budaya Yogyakarta, Widi Utaminingsih in Yogyakarta, Monday (13/3/2012).
According to Widi, it needs Yogyakarta government's intervention in developing tourism village in Yogyakarta. "Moreover, potential tourism villge in Yogyakarta is not limited to building heritage and local cultural tourism, but also another creative economic power that can support, such as handicraft products," she said.
Widi says tourism village has an uniqueness that is offered and very diverse, in addition to wealth of heritage, handicrafts, batik, and accessories, as well as the art of local traditions that are still well-maintained.
A number of tourism village in Yogyakarta among of them are Kampung Dipowinatan, Kampung Cokrodirjan, Kampung Purbayan, Kotagede, Kampung Kotagede, Patangpuluhan and so on.
During this time the tourism village in this city has become a new attraction for tourists. The offered uniqueness of the tourism village that also continue to grow," said Widi, which her foundation moving in the field of culture and tourism development which based on local potential.
